The Newcastle Jets have announced the signing of English-born striker, Kaine Sheppard, on a one-year contract.
The 24-year-old has scored 20 goals in 26 appearances for Avondale in the Victorian NPL this season.
Coach Ernie Merrick believes Sheppard is a clever player that reads the game well, makes great runs and has a strong physical presence.
