UNION PRESIDENT SITS DOWN WITH TAMWORTH MP TO TALK STAFFING

Members of the Police Union have met with Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson as they continue to call for more boots on the ground.
A surging ice epidemic has prompted a call for 25 more officers in Tamworth alone.
“Domestic violence, you see it in youth crime, mental health incidents, road trauma, property theft, house break ins, business break ins – all has links back to this incideous drug, ice,” Tony King, President of the Police Association of New South Wales.
The union is asking for 25-hundred extra officers across the state, Mr Anderson expecting he won’t be the only MP to take up the issue with the Police Minister.
“Well I like a fight, I don’t win every one of them but my golly I’m in there fighting for what we believe is our fair share, and I want to try and make sure we’re at the front of the queue,” Kevin Anderson, Member for Tamworth.
