BALLINA MAN KILLED CYCLING IN TINTENBAR

A Ballina man has died after being involved in a cycling accident in Tintenbar.
The 59-year-old man was with a group of cyclists about eight kilometres out of Ballina when the accident occurred.
Nicole Bruce from Ballina Police said, “Yesterday about 9:30 in the morning there was a group of cyclists travelling along Tamarind Drive at Tintenbar and something has occurred which has caused one of them to lose control and heavily collide with a guard rail.”
Paramedics attended the scene but the man died on the way to the hospital.
Police are still investigating how the cyclist was injured.
