The Australian Rail Track Corporation says it has contingency measures in place to stop further disruptions to the Newcastle coal rail line.
It comes after trains were brought to a halt for the third time this week – this time an 18-year-old woman locked herself onto the side of a train at Sandgate, livestreaming the incident on social media.
She was charged and granted conditional bail.
