CROWN LODGING INADEQUACY APPEAL AGAINST WILSON SENTENCE

The New South Wales DPP has confirmed its appealing the sentence handed to former Adelaide Archbishop Philip Wilson.

Newcastle District Court today heard the crown have an inadequacy appeal on the grounds the sentence was too lenient.

Wilson is serving six-months home detention for concealing child sex abuse.

His appeal over the conviction will be heard in November.
