MORE LAND ANNOUNCED FOR KOALA CONSERVATION

Nearly 2-thousand hectares is being added to the state’s conservation estate for the protection of local koala populations….and it’s hoped Gunnedah will be next on the list.
Around 13-hundred hectares of the Mount Boss State Forest near Wauchope is being turned into conservation land…
Along with almost 600-hectares west of Nambucca Heads.
It’s all part of a $45-million koala strategy, setting up sanctuaries and reserves for the threatened furry creatures.
