Help is at hand for struggling farmers around Walcha.
Walcha Council is asking farmers to have a “cuppa on Council” this Friday.
It’s all about taking time off the land and hopefully having questions answered on how to acquire government assistance.
“Debby Maddox from the rural assistance authority will be there. She’s there to help fill out forms, hand out forms, answer questions – we’ve had her once before and she was very popular,” Councillor Eric Noakes, Mayor Walcha Council.
The ‘cuppa on Council’ runs from 2 until 4pm tomorrow at the Community Care meeting room.
