NO LUCK FOR MEREWETHER SURFERS IN SPAIN

Philippa Anderson’s quest to reach surfing’s world championship tour has taken a hit.
The Merewether boardrider was knocked out of the 6000-point qualifying series event in Spain in the fourth round.
In messy conditions, Anderson could only manage a five and four.
The news was no better for clubmate Morgan Ciblic, who was eliminated from the men’s 3,000-point QS event in round two.
