$100,000 BOOST TO HELP LANDCARE CONTINUE SLOWING PEEL RIVER EROSION

The Wallamore Road Landcare Group can continue its work to slow the process of erosion along the banks of the Peel River, thanks to a significant financial boost.
The state government has pledged $100,000 in support.
And the group already has plans for how to spend it – firstly, getting rid of some introduced species to make way for natives.
“This money will, or some of this money will go towards seeing them continue to be killed or removed and there will be more tree plantings go on,” David Gowing, Wallamore Road Landcare Group.
