Police have destroyed more than 300 cannabis plants found in Carrai National Park near Armidale.
It is estimated that the crop’s street value was more than $600 000.
Police have been monitoring the site, and last month an officer was assaulted there.
A man in a balaclava and sunglasses hit the officer from behind with an unknown object but the offender managed to escape.
Police are waiting on DNA results from the balaclava and sunglasses.
