CHANGES FOR MELANOMA PATIENTS AT NEWCASTLE MATER

The Calvary Mater Hospital is changing the way it sees melanoma patients.
Outpatient clinics normally held in the NBN Telethon Melanoma Institute building, will be moved across the road from Monday, to new rooms in the redeveloped hospital.
The Mater says the move will be better for patients.
Colin Osborne from the Calvary Mater said “This move will put our patients in greater proximity to a number of support services that they need to access like the Cancer Council Information booth, our pharmacy and psycho-oncology services and so on.”
Other procedures and research will still be carried out in the telethon building.
