TRAFFIC HALTS TO A STANDSTILL AS TRUCK TRAILER ROLLS NEAR TAREE

Traffic was slowed to a crawl in both directions on the Pacific Motorway near Taree this morning, after a truck trailer carrying an excavator toppled over.

The truck entered a roundabout at the wrong angle, while towing an excavator, and ended up horizontal.

“We were called at approximately quarter to eight this morning to a heavy vehicle roll over here. Once arrived on scene we found the excavator had slipped the kerb and rolled onto the pavement.” says Fire & Rescue’s Anthony Shoesmith.

Thankfully, no one was injured.
