SECOND CHARGED OVER HAMILTON SHOOTING

A second man will front a Newcastle court over the alleged shooting of a man in Hamilton last year.
Police say three men entered a unit on Gordon Avenue just before 11pm on December the 18th, where a confrontation broke out with a 37-year-old male occupant.
As a result, the occupant was shot in the face.
He was treated at the scene by emergency services before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police subsequently arrested a 36-year-old man at a home on Bent Street in Wallsend, just before 3:30am today.
He was later charged with shooting with intent to murder.
Another man has been charged over the shooting, whose case remains before the courts.
