It’s just over three months until the Supercars return to Newcastle, and today race-ace David Reynolds and data engineer Romy Mayer paid a special visit to Whitebridge High School.
Students there are designing their own supercars, with Romy keen to tell the girls that technical sciences aren’t a boys’ domain.
“Yeah, it’s important to get that first step done and get their interest and show them that there are really cool female engineers out there who are doing a really good job in their work.”
