REDHEAD SLSC BUILDING MOMENTUM IN TAPLIN RELAY

Redhead Surf Life Saving club is building momentum for another crack at the blue-riband Taplin Relay, taking another win in the Oceans 6 series.
Big surf caused chaos for competitors at Surfers Paradise last weekend, but the team of Justin McMorland, Isak Costello and Daniel Collins held firm.
The race came down to a sprint finish against Queensland club Alexandra Headland.
“I knew there was going to be a lot of potholes, and if i could avoid them and stay on my feet I’d have a good shot of beating him up the beach. It was a long transition to finish but good to get a win with the boys.”
Redhead can claim the Oceans 6 title with a big result in the series-ending North Cronulla round later this month.
