BODY MODIFIER CHARGED OVER DEATH OF CENTRAL COAST MOTHER

A Central Coast tattoo artist and body modifier has been charged in relation to the death of a 30-year-old woman, who allegedly underwent surgery at his Erina business just three weeks prior to her death.

The woman’s body was found by her seven-year-old daughter in April, with a post mortem finding infection was the cause of death.

It’s understood the woman had complained about complications following the surgery, which involved a “plastic snowflake” being implanted under her skin.

Following investigations, police arrested a 37-year-old man at a Terrigal home this morning.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station, where he was charged with manslaughter.

It comes after he was charged in May with grievous bodily harm in relation to an unrelated case of genital mutilation involving a woman at Newcastle West.
