MOTORCYCLIST FLOWN TO HOSPITAL AFTER PACIFIC HIGHWAY CRASH
A motorcyclist is lucky to be alive after colliding with a car on the Pacific Highway near Tweed Heads.
Shortly before 5 o’clock yesterday a Ford Festiva and Ducati motorcycle were involved in a crash near Clothiers Creek Road.
The 56-year-old rider was flown to Gold Coast Hospital in a serious condition, suffering suspected spinal injuries
A 34-year-old woman, who was behind the wheel of the Ford was treated for minor injuries.
It was the second crash in the area in just over an hour, after a truck crossed onto the wrong side of the road, coming to rest in a cane field.
The truck driver was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
