JILLAROOS MAKE WINNING START TO WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

The Jillaroos have made a winning start to the Women’s Rugby League World Cup, hammering the Cook Islands by 54 points this afternoon.
North Newcastle’s Caitlin Moran opened the scoring, before clubmate Isabelle Kelly made it 34-nil late in the first half.
Moran bagged a late double as Australia ran away with the game, 58 points to four.
