NEWCASTLE NORTHSTARS DROP OUT OF TOP FOUR

The Newcastle Northstars will travel to Melbourne for games against the Mustangs and the Ice, having dropped out of the top four over the weekend.

Newcastle started well against the Sydney Bears.

But the visitors then dominated, establishing a 4-1 lead by the end of the second period.

The Northstars clawed one back in the final term, but the Bears scored again in the final minute to cap off a big win.
