HUNTER RAIL WORKERS SET FOR 24-HOUR STRIKE

Hunter rail workers will walk off the job for 24-hours tomorrow as part of state wide strike action.

Australian Rail and Track Corporation employees will stop work from three-am, after recent enterprise agreement negotiations failed.

The Rail, Tram and Bus Union says talks have been underway since later 2016 – but both parties are still yet to agree on proposed changes to pay and conditions.

The industrial action follows a five-hour stoppage last week.
