GRAND FINAL REMATCH IN NEWCASTLE NETBALL

Newcastle Netball returned from its three-week break with a blockbuster, Wests versus Souths in a grand-final rematch.

And it lived up to the hype, although the undefeated Wests, also the defending champions, raced out to an early lead.

They were all square at half-time.

Wests lead by two at three-quarter-time, before extending that – although, only just – in the final term.

It’s the hardest they’ve been pushed this season, winning by six.

In other games, Forsythes were too strong for Wests 2, BNC got up, while Maryville and the Pride, finished all even.
