INCREASED NUMBER OF TAXIS IN TAMWORTH

Tamworth’s growing population has driven a local taxi business to increase capacity, to help ease pressure during peak periods.

The owner of ECO V-I-P has merged with 13CABS, expanding the local fleet of cabs by at least three over the next few months

He says some people can wait for up to an hour for a vehicle to arrive.

“We’ve gone from 47,000 people 15 years ago to about 62,000 I think in Tamworth now, but the cars have decreased, so with these extra cars I think it’ll really help,” said Chris Doulis.
