An 83-year-old man has been charged over the alleged indecent assault of a 94-year-old woman, at a Lake Macquarie aged care facility.
It’s understood a man entered the facility at Charlestown on May 11, telling staff he was waiting for the woman to finish her breakfast.
Officers have been told a staff member entered the woman’s room around an hour later, where she saw a man allegedly indecently assaulting the woman.
An investigation was launched, and the man was arrested and charged on Tuesday afternoon.
He has been granted conditional bail, and will re-appear in court next month.
