MAN DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY UTE AT STOCKTON

A 54-year-old man is dead after being hit by a ute at Stockton.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after six o’clock last night.

It’s believed the victim was crossing Fullerton Street, when he was hit by the southbound vehicle.

Police say the 29-year-old driver of the ute returned a negative breath test at the scene.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing.
