STORM DUMPS WOODEN DEBRIS ON BEACHES

There’s a big clean-up ahead in Port Macquarie, following the weekend storms.
Town Beach was closed today, after mounds of sticks and logs washed up on the sand.
More debris is expected in the coming days.
Meanwhile, further north, Kempsey’s Riverside Park remained submerged this morning.
The Macleay River is continuing to fall, after peaking just below 4 and a half metres last night.
While Armidale Road remains blocked at Bellbrook, after a landslide yesterday.
The road will be cleared once it’s safe to do so.
