MOREE’S CAMERON HAMMOND TO STEP BACK INTO THE RING

Moree’s Cameron Hammond is preparing to pull on the gloves after a long absence from boxing.

The former Olympian’s last bout was in November 2016 against Kris George, a fight where Hammond came off second best.

That defeat triggered a hiatus from the sport, with the 28-year-old now eyeing-off an Australian welter-weight championship.

Hammond will make his return to the ring on June 29 in Brisbane.
