Karen McNamara’s time in federal politics is over, with the Liberal incumbent conceding defeat to Labor’s Emma McBride.
The outgoing member took to facebook this afternoon to make the announcement, saying it was an honour to serve her community for the past three years in the seat of Dobell.
Ms Mcbride claimed victory on Saturday night, with 55 percent of the vote.
