FEDERAL FUNDING FOR DRUG ACTION TEAMS TO COMBAT ICE EPIDEMIC

Local Drug Action Teams will receive $10,000 in federal funding in a bid to combat the ice epidemic across rural New South Wales.

Towns on the Mid North Coast, including Nambucca and Kempsey will benefit.

“We’ve already got teams working in our local area, but great to see the project expanded so that we’ve got more resources in more areas to address this despicable problem on the ground, on our streets” – Luke Hartsuyker, Member for Cowper

Teams will deliver health prevention activities including education, mentoring and support for people at risk of alcohol or drug-related harm.
