A specialised strike force has been set up to investigate a spike in arson in West Tamworth.
In the last six months, police have attended more than 50 suspicious fires.
Investigators from the Oxley Local police district, as well as the State Crime Command’s Arson squad will spend the next three days talking to members of the community, in a bid to find those responsible.
A ‘command’ vehicle will be set up at the Youth Centre in Coledale – anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
