The Hunter coast copped more than 70mm of rain last night, though sadly none of it made it to the drought stricken areas of the Upper Hunter.
The latest high over the South East will still generate strong south easterly winds for the coast, with showers heavy at times.
Shower activity is set to increase along the northern New South Wales and South East Queensland coasts, while easing for the Hunter coast.
We can expect South East winds to continue right along the coast, while it remains dry and partly cloudy inland.
