FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO FOOT THE BILL FOR OUTDATED CCTV CAMERAS

Canberra has come to the rescue after plans to upgrade outdated CCTV in Lismore’s CBD hit a snag.
Member for Lismore, Thomas George, had announced $250,000 from the State Government for new cameras, to be matched by council.
It’s come to light today that the project had stalled, with the Federal Government to now foot the whole bill.
Lismore’s Mayor says talks are underway about how that original State funding can still be used.
