LAMBTON MECHANICS INSTITUTE SPRUCED UP

One of Lambton’s oldest heritage buildings has received a spruce-up, thanks to $45,000 in state government funding.
The Lambton Mechanics Institute was built in 1894 at a cost of 573 pounds.
Fast forward to today, and several groups still use the building for meetings, including the Newcastle Family History Society, and the MG Car Club.
The funds were put towards re-painting the exterior.
