A local institution celebrated a name change today, designed to reflect changing times.
Formerly known as the Ethnic Communities Council , the now re-badged Hunter Multicultural Communities has served the needs of local migrants for 40 years.
The service was started to help break down the social isolation felt by some new arrivals to our area.
That support now extends to health and wellness, aged care and education.
