VARIETY BASH ROLLS BACK INTO NEWCASTLE

One by one they rolled into town, all 106 cars in this year’s Variety Bash – and if they were a little louder than usual – there was good reason.

The raucous group raised a record $1-million – the highest amount ever on the state-wide fundraising tour.

The money will go towards sick and disadvantaged kids, and their families.

The group also donated more than $50-thousand worth of grants to schools.
