NEW AMBASSADORS FOR HUNTER BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION
Hunter athlete Ben Kennedy has thrown his support behind a cause close to his heart.
More than a year since his mum passed away from breast cancer, the A-League goalkeeper has become an ambassador for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
“When mum was diagnosed you kind of realise how many people it affects, not just the person who has it but the whole family,” he says.
Kennedy and his partner, netballer Sam Poolman, are helping launch this year’s Boot Out campaign.
Money raised by purchasing special socks will go directly to the foundation.
