BAIL REFUSED FOR ALLEGED ARMED THIEF

A man will remain in custody after a robbery and assault at a South Tamworth convenience store on Monday afternoon.
Jason Jordan Trindall is facing a charge of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
Police allege three males entered the Hillvue Superette and stole a cash drawer, assaulting a 62-year-old employee during the theft.
Trindall will return to court in August.
