EMISSIONS EXEMPTIONS REVEALED FOR POWER STATIONS
It’s been revealed that AGL’s Liddell and Bayswater Power Stations have been granted exemptions from the state’s air pollution regulators.
The permit allows the stations to emit toxic nitrous oxide gases at almost TWICE the concentration limit allowed for stations of a similar age.
It comes as several environmental groups, along with Member for the Hunter Joel Fitzgibbon, have commended the company’s decision to reject a $250-million buyout deal for Liddell from Alinta Energy.
