Vision has emerged of a violent clash, between a player and spectator during a Lower Hunter rugby league game.
It unfolded during the Woodberry and Maitland match yesterday – it’s understood the pair had been involved in a verbal altercation, just prior.
As yet, no complaint has been made to police.
Country Rugby League releasing a statement telling NBN News “Country Rugby League are aware of an incident that occurred between a player and spectator in the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League on Saturday. CRL, in conjunction with the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League are investigating the incident and take all incidents involving on or off field violence seriously; with all perpetrators to be dealt with accordingly.”
