FLORISTS SAY RED ROSES ARE BACK THIS VALENTINES DAY

It’s the one day of the year couples are urged to profess their love, and this morning it was all hands on deck at florists around the region, for one of their busiest days of the year.

The traditional rose was popular – but these multi-coloured blooms were a standout.

While some went big with bunches of roses – others were a little more refined with a single stem…

“Sometimes their popularity wanes a bit and other things come into fashion, but especially this year… Red roses are back.”

For florists – it’s the culmination of months of planning.
