LOCALS URGED TO PICK UP TOOLS AND HELP TWEED SEAGULLS

Locals are being encouraged to pick up tools and help join league greats Paul Harragon, Wally Lewis and Bryan Fletcher, finish building the Tweed Heads Seagulls’ new community club house this Friday.
The current lack of facilities had put the club’s involvement in the Queensland Intrust Cup at risk.
“All clubs have been set certain standards with the facilities and we needed to upgrade ours, and with the support of the government and the Tooheys New Crew we’ve been able to do that.”
“We’d love everybody to come down and give us a hand there’s lots of cleaning up to do, we have to furnish the entire place we’ve got a bit of concreting to do for a disabled ramp.”
It’s hoped the club house will be complete for the Seagulls’ home game against Norths Devils on Sunday.
