The Gunnedah economy is expected to receive a $3-million cash boost, courtesy of a ‘community resilience program’ which is supported by all three tiers of government.
The Gunnedah council put forward $1-million, before approaching both state and federal governments to match the funding.
The money will go towards helping local businesses, farmers and community members affected by drought.
