Light rail crews have spent the past two years digging up our roads, and you won’t believe some of the things they’ve stumbled upon.
Everything from decades-old beer bottles – to bones.
“Yes we have found a number of bones in the project, when we do come across bones the guys stop work and we’ll call in the local police, they’ll come in and do their investigation and tell us if we can continue or not.”
All the bones remain with police, while the bottles will be kept in Southport’s Historical Library.
