GET YOUR FLU JAB BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH

As winter approaches so too does flu season, which is why Mid North Coast Health is urging people to get vaccinated before the end of the month.

Last year’s flu was linked to more than 650 deaths in New South Wales alone.

“In terms of public health threat, influenza virus is one of the things we’re very concerned about because it does spread very easily from person to person and even otherwise healthy people can be susceptible” – Paul Corben, Mid North Coast Health.

Those most at risk are pregnant women, people over the age of 65 and those with chronic medical conditions.
