JETS SIGN NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL ON TWO YEAR DEAL

Jets CEO Lawrie McKinna says the club is open to signing another high-profile marquee, even if Ronald Vargas extends his stay.
Newcastle officials today confirmed the signing of New Zealand international, Matthew Ridenton, on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old midfielder has made 72 appearances for the Phoenix, playing part of his career under current Jets coach, Ernie Merrick.
Ridenton was voted Wellington’s best under-23 player in the club’s disappointing 2017/18 campaign, starting all but one game.
