GAV’S WEATHER | COASTAL SHOWERS SETTLING IN

Cloud has increased across northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland, as rain hits the Gold Coast and Tweed.

Scattered showers have developed across parts of the north-west.

The rain is due to a deepening trough, which will form into a low off the south-east Queensland coast.

Onshore winds will strengthen, driving in more cloud cover.

Showers will become more frequent further south along the New South Wales coast to Forster.

Strong, onshore, south-east winds are going to make for a cool, cloudy, wet day along the northern New South Wales coast to south-east Queensland.

Partly cloudy skies are expected across the Greater Hunter, but it remains fine.

Inland, west of the Divide, it will also remain fine after today’s showers clear in the far north of the state.
