NUNDLE COMMUNITY RALLIES TO FUND NEW WALKWAY

A new walkway has been unveiled in Nundle, giving residents and those with mobility issues better access to the Peel River walking tracks and local oval.
The concrete structure cost more than $40,000 to build, with the Nundle community footing the entire bill through fundraising.
“The fundraising’s been a whole community effort. Our access committee took it on not realising how much money we had to raise, but we persisted and it took us five years to raise the money.”
The Easy Access Walkway is located between the town’s public school and caravan park.
