NEWCASTLE NORTHSTARS GRAB THEIR FIRST WIN OF 2018

It was a mixed weekend for the Newcastle Northstars.. they suffered an 8-3 loss to Canberra on Saturday, before scoring their first win this season last night.
The visitors made a great start at Warners Bay.
“He’s going to drive towards the net, he does, takes in close, scores, Bobby Oar move that one, end to end and the Ice Dogs are up one nil.”
But a double to Patrick Nadin handed Newcastle the advantage by the end of the first period.
“There’s another goal for the boy from Lake Macquarie.”
The two sides traded goals, ending up three-all at fulltime…Before the Northstars prevailed in the shootout.
