As the mornings get colder, most of us have trouble getting out of bed, but not the Merewether Mackerals – they’re just starting to swim into action.
The group was up bright and early this morning to mark the start of their winter swimming season at Merewether Ocean Baths.
The tradition, dating back to 1972, complete with a marching band, dry ice and a tune, diving in for the start of a very chilly three-month swim season.
