Preparations are underway for Scone’s annual Horse Festival, with local businesses showing their support.
Shopfronts along the main street have been decked out ahead of the event, which starts tomorrow.
“The core element of this is making sure we never forget the role the horse has played and continue to play in the prosperity of this region,” festival president David Gatwood says.
Internationally-acclaimed horseman Guy McLean will headline the festival on Saturday.
“In my first hour I’m going to showcase the very first ride of a young horse, we had a beautiful 3 year old Australian stock horse that has been donated for the afternoon,” Guy McLean says.
The street parade will be held on Sunday.
