VOLVO OCEAN RACE HEADS TO AMERICA’S EAST COAST

Boats in the Volvo Ocean Race have left Brazil bound for Rhode Island on America’s east coast.
Kyle Langford’s Team Brunel is currently second, with fellow Hunter sailor Lucas Chapman three places further back on his vessel, Turn the Tide on Plastic.
Speaking before leaving port, Chapman said his crew is confident of moving up the leaderboard.
“We’ve still got a lot of points left to go, the Trans Atlantic is another double point leg. We showed we can keep up with the fleet in a range of conditions.”
